You deserve a good, safe, peaceful and loving life….
At Voltz Law Offices, we have spent years helping those who face Domestic Violence issues by walking them, step by step, through the divorce (and custody) process. Whether your situation is a physical emergency, or continuing psychological abuse, we can guide you to a solution. On the other hand, if you have been falsely charged, we can assist you in your defense and help you make educated decisions along the way.
If you have an emergency, call the Domestic Abuse Hotline in Chester County at 888‑711‑6270. They represent victims of Domestic Abuse for free. Our office is also available for a consultation if you are not sure whether your personal situation arises to the level of a Protection From Abuse Order. Legal Aid of Chester County is also available to assist low income residents for protection from abuse or custody matters, or you can contact Access to Justice with the Chester County Bar Association if you do not qualify for Legal Aid.
We can help you get your rightful share of the marital estate so that you can start again on your own. You are entitled to share in all the assets acquired during your marriage, whether or not they are titled in your name (including all retirement plans, investment accounts, vehicles, house, etc.). These will be offset by debts that relate to the marriage (does not include student loans, gambling debts, etc.), regardless of the name on the account. For instance, all credit card debt must be shared if the purchases were used for the marriage, regardless of the name on the card. Once you file for divorce, or you or your spouse moves from the marital residence, you may receive spousal and/or child support to help pay your bills until you are divorced. If you remain in the residence, you will be primarily responsible for the mortgage and all utilities – which can be overwhelming. Let us help you make the right choices.
Our office can also help you with custody arrangements to assure the safety of all involved. Discuss your concerns with an unbiased professional who can evaluate the true risks you face moving forward.
Please contact our office for a confidential consultation appointment. We never call your home or send mail or email unless you ask us to do so. An attorney will meet with you for an hour to an hour and a half, discuss your facts, and give you their advice on how to proceed. Our consultation fee is $150.00. If you decide to have our firm represent you, we can make payment arrangements depending on your special needs.
